Using Novelty
Templates
Caricature
Studio 5.0 includes several fun novelty templates for
creating wanted posters, parody magazines and "head-on-body"
caricatures. You can also browse the Caricature Studio
Store for new templates by selecting the Browse Template
Store link on the Templates Panel or from the Tools menu.
Templates are designed to print
out to 8" x 10" dimensions but you can print them at any size.
Use quality glossy photo stock for outstanding results! In
addition, you can create full-size posters from the saved image at
your local Wal-Mart photo department, and several online services
such as Snapfish.
Using Templates: General
Tips
- You can adjust the inserted image
to match the background images using filters. For
instance, use the Sepia filter on the subject photo to give
the image an "old-time" look to match the "Wanted"
poster background.
- You may find it easier to create
the subject image first. Plus, by doing so you can save it
independently and insert it into any background image later. After
creating and saving your subject image, go to File >
Open and select the template file. Then, use
Insert > Clipart function to select the
subject's photo and insert it onto the template. You can resize it
accordingly to fit the area specified on the template.
Always
save the finished image with another file name by using
File/Save As, and not File/Save! If you
do not, you may overwrite the template file.
