Caricature Wizard
The Caricature Wizard function
applies automatic caricature effects to an area of the
image chosen with the selection tool. To use the
function:
- Open any image.
- Draw a square or rectangle area to
choose where to apply the effects. Note that where you place the
selection area has a direct impact on the result. Moving the
selection area just a little in any direction, or drawing a smaller
or larger selection area will render drastically different results.
So experiment! Generally, the best results are yeilded from a
selection area placed around the facial features, or around the
entire head.

After selecting an
area, the Caricature Wizard window will open. There are two methods
you can select to generate your caricature.
1.
Automatic feature selection applies effects to
area within the rectangle.
2.
Manual feature selection allows you to add points
to the image to specify where the eyes, nose and mouth are
located.
Try both! There are
several templates you can choose to create different
caricature variations. Click the Next and
Previous buttons to step through the templates.
Each time a template is applied, a thumbnail image will appear in
the left preview pane.
Select any thumbnail to
reapply the desired template, or use the dropdown selection box if
you know the template number you'd like to reapply. Once you've
made your final selection, click the OK button to save the image to
the main application window.
Note:
-
Large images take
longer to render.
-
Results are best when
subject is looking straight ahead, directly into the camera.
-
To close
without changes, click the Cancel button, or click the restore
icon on the topt toolbar.
